Managing the Driver Within

The car is actually very easy to control. It goes left. It goes right. It goes forward and backwards. Your mind though can do all that plus a whole lot more. Actually its very easy to make perfect turns, do perfect parks and drive at a steady speed. Its easy to do once. But to do it consistently requires a steady mind. The mind does not like repetition. It always seeks new and greater stimuli. But when you are driving you need to develop a standard of consistency. The more disciplined you are in your driving, the higher that standard. To control your mind you have to make it do things it does not want to do. The mind wants to exceed the speed limit. It wants to roll through the stops. It wants to be at your destination before you have driven there.
